Wait for ASUS M3N-HD to arrive, buy it. It's a AM2+ supportive board based on NForce 750a SLI chipset. It supports any AM2/AM2+ CPU, PCI-E 2.0, SLI @ x8, x8 2.0 and also features Hybrid Power. After that, you may want to buy another Gigabyte 8800GT for SLI.

This is the one I'm talking about:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131280
ASUS M3N-HD. The one on Newegg is M3N-HD HDMI. The variant without HDMI is $10 cheaper. So look out for M3N-HD.

It's PCI-E 2.0 x8 x8 SLI. Two 8800 GT cards will function at the same bandwidth as PCI-E 1.1 x16.
I'm puzzled here.
you want to replace your mobo now becuase you will want to replace you cpu in the future ?
I think this is redicioules. what if in the future you will decide to go for another cpu (an Intel one) ?
if you'r happy with your mobo now I see no reason to replace it now.

I think he wants us to reccomend an AM2+ motherboard that supports SLI and 1066MHz RAM. This one looks good...

Dude that's AMD 790X. No SLI.
I just saw two pci-e slots and thought 2 video cards :o
chipset wars suck and ultimately confuse the end-user

Gigabyte makes this though:
http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/FileList/Image/motherboard_productimage_ga-m750sli-ds4_big.jpg
It's based on the NForce 750a SLI (AM2+). Great Value, comes with Ultra Durable 2 components.
That's GA-M750SLI-DS4. http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products/Motherboard/Products_Overview.aspx?ProductID=2819

The GA-790X-DS4 is based on the AMD 790X chipset, GA-790FX-DS5 is based on the AMD 790FX chipset.
Learn their differences here: http://www.amd.com/us-en/0,,3715_15337,00.html.

what I'm saying - buy the mobo when, and only when, you need it. the same mobo will be cheaper in future.
if you'r happy with your mobo now don't replace it.
keep your money for the time to make the full update.

so you can say the 790fx better take quad-graphics , i am don't matter cuz i need two graphics
but there is more the 790fx have more overclock
the 790fx comes loaded with next-generation technologies to ensure platform longevity. PCI Express® 2.0 doubles your graphics bandwidth over PCI , (is the 790x don't have this technologies )
also only 790fx support amd overdrive i think the 790x support it too
we can say they don't right evrything to make a different

Neither AMD 790X nor AMD 790FX support NVidia SLI (they don't). You could go for NVidia NForce 750a SLI based boards such as the ones I mentioned earlier in this thread.

No, they're both the same. Both chipsets support upto 5200 MT/s (2600 MHz) CPU.
I think you should wait for ASUS M3N-HD HDMI or Gigabyte GA-M750SLI-DS4.
