Asus P4P800-E Deluxe. Very nice board, and a good overclocker. I highly recommend it. Or if you feel like spending a little more, get the P4C800 version. Abit IC-7 is a nice option too.

My bad your board doesn't support it I believe. How much did your score go down?

Umm you can use CPU-Z or check in your bios. Cpu-Z will probably be the easiest way.

They seem to running at their normal speed, acctually a little bit faster. Are they the same type of memory modules? Are they rated with different timings?

Hrmm... that is odd. It may be nothing that you can help, I'm really not sure. It could just be some kind of decrease you get when you use 2 modules. You can try swaping the slots each stick is in and see if it does anything, but I doubt it. They both are at their rated speed and timings. Maybe another setting that changes in the bios when both slots are populated. Try tweaking some options in the bios. It shouldn't make too much of a diffrence in real world though.

it says it supports ddr 400 will my existing ram work in there and run good?

Hi.
I have an P4P800 Deluxe also. It's my second; the first fried memory modules. Hooray for warranties, it happened twice with expensive paired memory modules.
Very nice board, but I'm selling my Radeon9700PRO card to get a X800GTO. Since the graphics card producers are shifting to PCI-Express, I'm forced to buy another, just a cheap ASRock P4Dual-915. And that'll run both AGP and PCI-E. It even has its own built-in card with shared memory, haaa. I'll sit way down in a corner in my big, black Antec cabinet.
Good luck with whatever you choose.
Cheers

Actually if you look at the FSB/DRAM ratio it is showing 4:5 which means your memory is 4/5ths the speed of the FSB which comes out to 333MHz DDR. That is why your score went down with dual sticks. I remember some motherboards will lower the memory automatically from the 400Mhz to 333Mhz even if you manually set it.
I have an IC-7 Max II which doesn't do that in dual channel. However, DO NOT GET the Abit IC-7 series, they have a big problem with noise in the PCI bus that carries over to any sound solution you might try, including the on board sound.

Interesting. I have the same board, and at times notice a little bit of sound breakup, which I have always attributed to either my AIW video card or my antiquated SB PCI128 sound card (I've never bothered with the onboard sound). Are breakup issues what you are referring to, or is it background noise that you have noticed? In all other respects, this board has really been great for me, and any sound issues I've had have been so minor that I haven't worried about it. I'd be interested in hearing anything more you have to say on the subject.

I bought the board before realizing that alot of guys were having problems with sound on the board. What I notice is usually a static sound through my PCI sound card. It is especially noticable when I have my head set on. BF2 will break up in sound on loading of maps and will have a noticable clicking static when playing the game. I can also hear static when the CD player spins up. I found out about the problem after going to the Abit site's forum on the motherboard. Supposedly the IC-7 Max 3 was suppose to fix this problem but I haven't really kept up on it. I do have a 2.4C OC'd to 3.0 (250fsb) with PC4000. But I'm thinking of upgrading eventually to an ATi crossfire MB w/ 580 chipset for AMD when it comes out in late Jan.

Thanks for the response. I'd have to say that I've noticed pretty much the same, but I was unaware that this is a known issue and always figured that it was due to my configuration, so I didn't really worry about it. I'll probably be on the same upgrade path as you, sometime after the new year.

I highly suggest the albatron PX915P4C Pro it's got a pci-e x16 slot for up to date video cards. I have one myself running with a 3.2E prescott and a 7800gtx 256 mb works amazingly. gives the same performance as my athlon 64 3800+ venice at 2.9 ghz in quake 4 or doom3.THe board overclocks very good also i can hit 3.8 ghz stable thats with pc4000 2gb kit.

Yeah, I second that. I have one of those boards...well, I am currently ebaying it because of a big upgrade. It does kick arse though. Easily as stable as my old ABit IC7-G.
