I am going to be going over to ATI and having a change so I'm going to sell my current GPU on eBay and I am wondering what motherboards you recommend. I'll be selling my eVGA 790i board on eBay too.

Good motherboard.

Ahh, Intel, when I Saw the title, I was thinking AMD. Yeah, the Asus Maximus is pretty good. I think it can be bios modded to a rampage or vice versa.

Hehe... you can still go AMD. There's a couple really sweet deals for AM2 stuff. a K9A2 plat for 100$, 5KBE's going for 60$, I think someone has a 9600 X4 for 120$ or something like that too...

it would be dumb in my opinion if he went amd.

I'm staying with Intel. I don't like AMD. :P

Intel FTW! Go with a Maximus Formula and flash it to a Rampage Formula. It rocks, I can speak from experience!

What's the cheapest and good motherboard you dudes would recommend? I wanna see some listings :). I'm looking for a board no higher then £200 and is a good overclocker. Similar to my current board. Nice heatsinks etc.

Its a bios mod really. That was what I was talking about in my post.

EDIT: I dont have any links for uk sites that sell that maximus formula, but perhaps overclockers.uk or something?

as long as you dont get a gigabyte or dfi you should be fine, those 2 manufacturers have known issues with the X2's and have done nothing about it.

I don't like the looks of the DFI motherboards. They looks too bright orange LOL. I prefer to go with ASUS because it's a brand I know and I've had ASUS boards in the past.

How do your 2 cards perform in Crysis, Phil? Can you post pictures with FRAPS? :D. My card only gets about 20 FPS on high settings @ 1920x1200.

And what issues are those phil? I have not had any problems with a P35 DS4 or the X38 DS4. My 06 score with water on the cpu and stock air cooling on the x2s... http://www.madonion.com/resultComparison.action?compareResultId=6134417&compareResultType=14

Why would anyone get AMD? :p

Builders that are looking into HTPC builds that need low wattage and inexpensive builds.

EDIT: Oh and may not want to overclock. At stock clocks usually AMD outperforms an intel.

AMD have gone down hill and I've told my dad that and he is switching to Intel too. I'm gonna build him a good rig (he doesn't game though because he's 45).
