I don't know if I would do that... 1gb card is cool but with GDDR2...... Man... I really don't think that would be worth it.

Really think so? Don't think it would help with textures @ 1440x900 at all? Ram speed im not worried about TBH. I am more a media kinda guy.

Its only 256bit bus, your only 1440x900 which is pretty small, and that ram is really slow, and it being that slow does make a fair difference, especially if you clock the core at all.

I think the best bang right now is the Sapphire 512mb 3850 or the Sapphire 3870 which is a few bucks more, as far as 38xx are concerend anyways.

Doubt the ram would go up the speed of a 3870's clock though. I mean they max at what 510mhz for GDDR2 "??"

Get some 512mb GDDR3's at least! That DDR2 must hold it back alot.

i got 700out of a FX5700s GDDR2

and remember its also low latency
