well since my 3870x2 is gone got 65.00 more than I payed for it couldn't resist.I'm such a money whore. I'm once again video card less. I'm using a x800xt at present and not sure what to get should I wait for the new cards, get a cheap ass 3850, 8800gt or get a bfg 9800gtx for 259.00.

I My self and personally going to opt for dual 4870's
I am trying to get rid of my 3870 but because of funds, i dont know if i am. i offered my 3870 and a duo orb for a xonar d2 (really want a xonar card) but so far he is saying no.
I just got a DA800 PSU from mark :) and yeah, dual 4870's ftw.
anyway...
If i were you i would wait for the new stuff, know you, your going to sell it and buy something else in a month.

the problem is the month wait, what do I game with for now this x800xt is not gonna cut it. Any idea on when the new geforce cards come out. It between these
cards http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814134043

resale is a factor and i think ther BFG card will meet that the best. It seems the 3870 cards have bad resale.

As much as my hearts says go for the 8800gts for 159.00 I'm gonna go for the BFG. Is it worth the 100.00 difference to get a better cooler, faster ram and a lifetime warranty? not sure. The ECS 9800gtx is 30.00 less and has a one year warranty.

ATI HD 4850 and 4870 (small quantities) will be released on June 23rd, it was the 18th but today they announced it was pushed back.

for nVidia it could be a minimum of 2 weeks after ATI maybe a month.

based on nvidia's charts they're setting the 9800gtx as a midrange underneath the gtx260 so expect it's prices to drop.

Those HD3870's are still at BestBuy for $129 bucks.. I'd buy cheap as possible, or just stay with the X800 for a couple more weeks.
