Hello again guys,

For my backup rig, I'll be using a samsung 22" monitor my current eVGA 8800GTS G92 on my main rig, but alas, this monitor is going to my back up rig (at the girlfriend's place since we watch movies and what not ;) ) We'd need a bigger monitor better indulge. Well with the place being my second home, I'm usually there after work and I would like to make her custom rig into a gaming rig as well. (Might introduce her to a few titles ;) any of you know where couples play css? lol)

Long story short, I'd like a great deal on an awesome video card that supports 22" at native 1680 x 1050, (if Nvidia preferably an xfx for warranty purposes, or if a deal is set with a seller in case of any future RMA is needed, the seller would go through it for me, with me paying shipping costs) also, I would strongly prefer a card with an excellent, quiet, after market cooler. Installed or not, but, included.

My current 8800GTS G92 is serving me well, (looking for these) and also those of you with an ATI card that'll flawlessly run (stock) with mostly everything on (except ridiculous 16x AA or whatnot) please PM me as well.

Mainly looking for XFX, again, for warranty purposes. Let me know, non-cc paypal is standing by :)

I'm running a HIS 3870 IceQ3, super quiet fan, plays games & movies on my 22" ws very nicely. Noticed this sale: http://forums.techpowerup.com/showthread.php?t=62234 I paid $280 for mine when they first came out.

Well in that case an 8600GT or 2600xt would even do you a lot of good.
My 2600xt gddr4 gave me 100+ fps solid max settings in 1680x1050 at stock clocks and over 120 fps solid overclocked slightly.

Hmm... well it is also going to be used fairly for gaming. BF2, CSS, Halo, COD4, etc. (when the new crysis comes out maybe even that too!) So very much future proof like the current 8800GTS G92 series is a very good upgrade.

Wow, I did not know a 2600xt could do that, I was under the impression that it would fail miserably lol. Again, price isn't necessarily an issue, as much as future-proof DX10 Graphic intensive environments are. Stalker, crysis, etc.

I appreciate every offer I've received, so keep them coming! Currently Nate's GTS is the one that's caught my eye (and for good reason! :D great seller, great item, great cooling) I'm debating though on whether I should wait a week or so until the NVIDIA launch is in full effect, to see how many people are trying to flush these 8800GTS G92s out :D

keep the offers coming!

The Palit 9600gt Sonic for $130 after this coupon code ZZF7955U10,(at www.Zipzoomfly.com) would be the best price-performance ratio to be honest.;)

Check it out: http://www.techfuzion.net/forums/index.php?topic=421.new#new

As most people will tell you by experience in these forums.... Palit is made to the highest standards with better, non-reference designs, in their Sonic Series.:)

What kind of performance can I see with some AA (maybe 4, 6, or 8x) and on a 22" widescreen 1680 x 1050? I've read that 2 in SLI would be great for a 22" widescreen, but for the sake of being future proof, or for re-sale value, wouldn't an 8800GTS G92 draw more? Besides, this one is 159.99 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814134037) AR on an 8800GTS G92! If anything at all, newegg supports 1 year warranty on ECS items. Since the GT200 series is just around the corner, imagine how low the price might go on them in 12 months and your ECS card malfunctions? (I've heard they are not top quality) you can RMA through newegg and get a decent cut on the price. Yay or nay?

1) I have had 1 out of 2 ECS graphics cards die on me.
2) The Palit RMA department is in the same building as two active TPU Members.(PalitGuy and Damulta):) If you should ever have trouble in anyway with your card, they really stand by their products. ;)
3)Two 9600gt's did almost as good with Crysis as my OC'ed 9800GX2. The 9600gt scales better than any other Nvidia card to date. One 9600gt does almost the same as the 8800gt 512mb on almost all games. I have owned both.

Two separate cards would hold value better than one card from my experience. But you would sell them each to separate people a couple years later etc. ;)

I also am a fan of the 9600GTs, using 1 or 2 does very well. I have had 6 of the ECS Passive versions and never had a prob. (love the 30-35C range on temps as well)

Thank you both for insight, I'll give SLI some more thought, personally I think I'd be better off with a single card solution, but I guess now might be a good time to try SLI :D

I was scared to before I did but it turned out to be really easy and the performance was great. :D
