im ready to take the plunge and get a qx9650 or q9770. this q9450 has run 3.8ghz @ 1.4v.
you will get the cpu, retail box and reciept. the ONLY THING i will take on trade is a better quad.(q9550, x3360, qx9650, qx9770) i realize that it probably wont happen but im throwing it out there. i used this chip for a total of 8 hours.

so there is a difference in say... 3dmark06? reason im asking is i have this extra slot... and 2900pro/xt are dirt cheap....
pretty much dont care for game performance right now, 2 2900pro's is more than plenty....

read bro it's gone, it's been sold twice and is a gold beast of a Q9450 it's priming now while i'm typing at 3.7ghz 1.288v. Most won't go past 3.6ghz unless you hook Chernobly too them.

I wasn't really actually was going to get a Qx9650 but lost the auction. I just bought it as a stop gap until I find a Qx9650. I will have it about 2 weeks watch and see. I was almost gonna buy a e8200 but changed my mind. My experience is the e8200, e8400, e3110 and e8500 all overclock the same .The e8500 benches higher but it's average 24/7 clock is almost never higher. It's because intel is full of shit with this chips they are all exactly the same. They don't have any differnce in quality really. The whole binning thing with these wolfies is B.S. They are almost all super good.

It was with two different boards the maximus was a bit higher. The Qx9650 suffer from low FSB aswell.

i tried the maximus, P5E3, blitz, p5k3 all having the same wall around the same place trt740 found. no matter what you do it wont budge. i tried 1.625v on the core under a TEC and it wouldn't post at all over say 490mhz FSB.

T_SKI.... wtf man... is that michelle? she finnally came around? that lady drove me nuts. i was yelling through my computer at her. i have looked everywhere and no one will come close to $600 for their qx9650. i think at this point it's worth waiting for something far better.

if you can find a chip that does 3.7ghz to 3.8ghz yes . Which most will not do. I would say a Q6600 is the best bet most will do 3.6ghz same as a Q9450. The Q9450 will be about 5 to 10 percent faster due to the increase in on chip memory. The Q9450 I just sold is a rare one. I have only seen 2 now besides the one Fits sold me that can run 3.8ghz 24/7

If I didn't get the dang Vista Nvidia error with this card, I could run 3.7 24/7... but now I can only bench at 3.8 and get a screenshot for 4ghz... I was pushing way to many volts.. but that is also without playing with all the extra stuff...
