erocker is a stellar guy to deal with my friend, and just as he said, I recommended you to avoid Q6600 G0s with a pack date basically in 2008, the majority have a much lower OC potential, even lower than the original B3 stepping Q6600s
good luck and don't rush it, you'll find your best deal (that may mean waiting for erocker ;))

definitely attainable for 24/7 clocks, though at MUCH lower voltages on the G0s from '07, trust me on this

hmm..I think I might wait for erocker, because I haven't even gotten my stimulus check yet, I estimate by june 13 by then I'll be ready for upgrade. I just want to make sure I'll have enough in the bank for that. I don't want to be holding up a sell too.

not all 08 pack dates are bad

if you can get a retail L745A those are not bad cpu's to overclock
ive got a 745A675 pack date 1/10/08... probably the last good batch of retail q6600.

specifically the L8XXX batches are the bad ones. they arent just bad... the frakkin suck big donkey ballz.

personally, im not expecting my economic stimulus check any time soon... dont trust the govt as far as i can throw them... especially when it comes to giving out money.
