im going to get this card

with my system is their something else i out there in the same price bracket or does anyone have a better suggestion.

i wont play the new games just battlefield ,ut2004, f.e.a.r.,doom 3, and counter strike.

Well, if you could stretch a bit more, you could go for a cheap 3850....but i'm doubting it would run on your PSU. So I would go with the 3650, I had a 2600XT(Practically the same) last year, and I got over 100FPS in CS:S, played BF2142 maxed with no AA. I played UT2004 maxed no problem, and doom3 shouldn't be an issue. F.E.A.R you may have to settle with lower settings thou, but I would go with that card....unless your PSU can handle a 3850, and your willing to dish out a bit more money

I'm using Sapphire Radeon HD3650 too (but it's 256MB GDDR3 T_T)
It can play new games with standard resolution (1280x1024 max I think, e.g. Crysis medium setting no AA).
And if you only play that game, it's ok to upgrade to HD3650, since it's cheap =)

I wish Newegg carried the Palit 3850, NCIX has them for $95....that would be even cheaper in the US.

sweet find but i was looking for somthing in the 512 mb range but this card is better u think

It is better, the extra 256MB won't give you an increase, but the GDDR4 will. Besides, you game at 1280x1024, and the card itself isn't powerful enough to run high res's, or game's like Crysis high...256MB is plenty.

Is gddr4 really that big of an advantage? I've been hearing the gddr4 isn't all that big of a leap, that's why gddr 3 is still the most widely used RAM.

That would perform worse. 8600GT is on par with a 2600/3650, but with the GDDR2...I'm thinking it would be a bit slower.

GDDRX means nothing. Its just the memory thats different.

The memory aside, the 2600/3650 are faster, not by much...but still faster.

The 2600XT is .5 inch shorter than your mobo...you shouldn't have any issue's. The 2600XT runs fine on that PSU. If it was me, I would take that 2600 over the 3650...up to you, both are great....you can't go wrong:toast:

Nope, runs off the PCI-e bus only:)
