USB feet warmers (slippers)

While at work tonight i made a pc order for some stuff at home and i decided to waste $27 and order some USB heated "slippers".

what i am wondering is

#1 As i will be using these at work (lol) is there any real danger they can cause the usb port/computer?

#2 Dose this make me a little gay? (no offence to anyone who me be)

TBH. WTF? You are going to warm you feet by taking current through your mainboard, your southbridge and those little mosfets and risk bringing down your other USB devices and PC. Really, the only explanation is you ordered this stuff while not thinking.

yes i am a brave man, but hell im freezing my ass (and toes) off here every night, i work as a static security guard in a guard house 5>6 nights a week 10pm >6am, so you dont think it will melt out the psu of the crappy dell i have here at work? (i am mainly worried about the amps it might pull as on another web site it said they warm from 32c>45c

i only got them for a laugh, and most of the stime i have to sit on my ass watching dual monitor CCTV so i thought waht the hell... if they are crap ill give them to my grandmother for when she plays cards/emails on her pc

Single USB port? Isn't that only 500mA at 5v?

Fairly small draw from the PSU. In fact you and the rest of the security guards could huddle around the computer watching Streisand all wearing your gay heated footies ;) :D
