no they are the good one. The newer chips don't like the too much extra voltage but mine did DDr 2 1187 at stock voltage 2.2v. They are micron D9 that I know i'm holding them in my hand now.

It might be or might not... I have three kits of Tracers, and they have changed the Chips on those... I bought the third kit from Fit because of the second kit I bought from Newegg wasn't D 9's. But, you never know till you buy them! It is a very Dang good Price!!! :pimp:

Crucial makes the D9s, there is no reason for them to change chips on them. Damn good deal, I hope they are the d9 variant.
I want some but idk its 2 weeks of gas for my bike :(

all new Ballistix (pretty sure this includes Tracers) 2x1 PC2-6400 are single sided Micron D9HNL. and yea, in that review the author complains about the TIM not making contact with the IC that's always been a problem with Ballistix you can remedy this with a blow dryer.

My single sided tracers did 1125mhz@2.2v,problem is,i'm getting crashes/restarts on vista now even after a reinstall and the vista mem checker says i have a memory fault(hardware).Oh dear,a while ago i had 2 sets of ballistix go tits up,now these may have too, even tho i have not over volted them.

sometimes the TIM (pad) will adhere to the inside of the heat spreader without making contact with the Memory IC you have to heat it up and readjust to start the cure. it's probably not rare enough judging by the newegg comments most people will RMA there kit instead of trying to fix it. I only mentioned the D9HNL comment for Pancho and Cold.
Ballistix used to be beloved for being double sided Micron D9 that could easily go 1220 for only $30-40 USD when 2008 came that's when they made the changes and now the failure rate is really high, your lucky to reach 1100mhz.

i'm not sure :( you could try returning them I would suggest OCZ. from that review the Reapers don't perform bad at all, I had this (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227299) kit best Memory I ever owned but OCZ only uses Micron D9 in there high end models. GSkill is another that uses Micron even far less often than OCZ but is cheap and reliable. 2 Kits that are pretty "hot" are Buffalo Firestix (http://www.pcstats.com/articleimages/200605/buffaloFSX1000_full.jpg) and Transcend aXeRam (http://xtreview.com/images/transcend%20aXeRam%20DDR%202-1200+.jpg) they perform on par with Corsair if not better and are not as expensive problem is they don't stay in stock long in any store (worldwide) :p
