Look at the voltages. The Reapers are only using 1.8V. They'll easily do 4-4-4-12 with the 2.0-2.1V that the A-Data uses.

can you guys not muck up the threads in the hot deals section, I don't care if you leave comments but don't redirect to something cheaper or better. Thanks :)

Yea but your talking possible Bad OC'ers atleast the A-DATA will do the timins even if you give em some extra volts i mean 5-5-5-18 i cant imagine that need 2.0+ Volts

Well, in his defense, what if what he posted was a truly better deal? Then that could stop someone from buying a potentially inferior product, when they can get something better for the same price, or cheaper. Even tho it doesn't directly apply in this case.

The more info, the better.

They don't need 2.0. Reread what I posted. The Reapers only need 1.8V for 5-5-5-18. They will do 4-4-4-12 at the same voltage as the A-Data.

people over sell on this forum it bothers me, but I don't go into there threads and warn about where to get the product cheaper elsewhere.

people over sell on this forum and it annoys me but I still don't go into there threads and tell everybody where to get the product cheaper. A-Data has a terrible failure rate.

- Christine

In the Hot Deals section, you should tell them.

In the Buy/sell/trade forum, you should take it to pm, as per the rules.

I have the CL3 edition of these ram and they do about 1100MHz at 2.3V at 5-5-5-15 and about 950MHz at 3-4-4-15

@WileE what i was saying is that those reapers WOULDNT need 2.0v just like the A-DATA would because of the lower timings which are JEDEC standard.

I still don't quite follow your point.

My point is this. The reapers will do 4-4-4-12 @ 2.0V 800Mhz. The A-Data will also do the same. It doesn't matter what the Jedec specs are, all that matters is what the ram will run at. (JEDEC is 5-5-5-15 OR 5-5-5-18 @ 1.8V 800MHz, btw)

no i highly doubt they will most CAS 5 kits can do CAS 4, ive tried with Patriot and Corsair etc, best one could do is 5-4-4-12... Either way from what i hear the Reapers arent very good at all.

Every single 1.8V 800Mhz CAS5 kit I have ever tested did CAS4 800Mhz at 2-2.1V.

@WileE show me 2x2GB sticks CAS 5 that can do CAS 4 on 2.0v and ill believe you.I know for a fact that these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820146692

and these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227314

Both do 4-4-4-12 on 2.0-2.1V. I've used them both in customer builds, and that's what they ran at when I was finished tuning their systems.

Aside from that, I can't find any reviews on the net for any of the CAS5 kits listed in this thread, so believe what you want. But I'm here to tell everyone what I have seen myself, so they can be the judge, and not just assume these reapers are poor sticks just because someone in this thread thinks they are.

EDIT: Oh, and sorry calvary. This time I really am done.

Well seeing that the Muskin's cost just as much as those A-DATA and the OCZ even more, its hardly worth it at all, atleast you know those A-DATA will run spec.

But yea. Still dont know about those OCZ reapers..

Those price differences weren't always the case. At the time, the OCZ was the cheapest of the ram with spreaders, and the Mushkin was a direct request from the client, so I had no choice but to order them.
