I've been googling and found a tenner of potential blog sites where I can start my blog, but really I don't want to make an account/register and then not finding it practical and having to start all over again. That's why I appreciate your advice.

You see what I am planning is not just a simple blog like I have in my signature. I'm very much into local politics which is an extremely hot potato here (imagine, we have a higher polling rate than Australia but unlike Australia voting is not compulsory).

I'm looking for a blog which enables replies by guests, and while being simple to use, customisable and user friendly, also enables me (and possibly others in the future) to moderate replies before they get online (unlike a forum where replies can be moderated only after they're online). This to prevent the whole thing from turning into a whore-house of four letter words and swear words while I'm not online, since posting under anonymity will certainly invite that kind of abuse.

Ideally it'd be something like this (http://daphnecaruanagalizia.com/) though I suspect that's a paying site or not? I don't have the funds to splurge on a blog right now though...

I'm not sue you're going to be able to get around registering, but below is an article from PC World about a free blog site. The only downside I see is you will have occasional adds, but that's not so bad when it's free....

See what you think.......
