Why kids can't be trusted on youtube

I temporarily left my 5 year old daughter watching her favourite youtube video, that of a funny skinny guy doing 'farties'.

She doesn't as yet know how to read english but she knows how to click the replay button on youtube.

After some minutes she came down, telling me that she 'had enough' :wtf:

I pressed back... and back... and back again and was mortified seeing what videos she clicked through...

Thank heavens I wasn't logged on and hence she couldn't access 18+ stuff :eek: I feel so much a bad mum but I really trusted that she would just click the replay button because that was all I told her to do. :twitch:

I'm definitely not leaving my daughter unattended on youtube again... :(

Yeah at least the most she got was a rear view naked male, which isn't that bad since it looks the same as her own rear view... As regards the bulgy stuff, in my country the (older) males are still into wearing speedos on the beach. In a way it's weird that the young ones cover their knees on the beach yet the 50+ age reveal their bikini line and contours of apparatus yet. I personally find it disgusting... but oh well :ohwell: since I can't block her eyes from seeing similar stuff on the beach I don't think I can complain for her seeing much more presentable guys in similar underwear and showing less saggy fatty stuff...

Kids don't know what parents know. I always have to tell myself that so I don't flip out.

Where was that pic that shows two people having sex, but when a kid sees it they see a picture of dolphins swimming.


Parts of youtube is worse than others. I'll let mine watch things like Spider-Man because they normally give another link to more Spider-Man. It's when your watching other peoples videos is where the bad comes in.




I catch my 5 year old playing GTA4 all the time.......as long as he is not doing the missions I don't see it as bad as 99% of whats on TV these days anyhow.

Welcome to the internets... If I had a kid I wouldnt leave him/her unattended until they were atleast 14.. Ive seen things that cannot be unseen..

To satisfy your curiousity, apart from the skinny farting guy, the next 3 were random amateur web-cam like vids showing some random dude romping around in underpants and pulling them down to show his ass, at least no front view but well that would have gotten the 18+ requirement which since I wasnt' logged in wouldn't have functioned.

The last video was of coool male models decently modelling underwear...

DaMulta, you're very right - I mean let's face it, to give an example a young kid can't differentiate as to whether someone is giving oneself an insulin injection or shooting heroin... let alone the rest of 'adult' stuff... I mean for her a 'rear end' is something one poops out of, nothing more and nothing less! :laugh:
