California-based chassis manufacturer NZXT is debuting a flashy new full tower PC gaming chassis by the name of Khaos. Priced at around $400 the Khaos is said to bring "breakthrough design in every category". Measuring 225 (W) x 612 (H) x 597 (D) mm, the new case is made out of aluminum (2mm and 3mm) and weights in 15.7 kg. Inside the case there are two 120 mm fans for intake, there's also place for over 8 HDDs and a three 120mm fan bracket placed exactly before the video card and the motherboard. But wait, there's place for more. One 120mm can be mounted at the back, and an additional 140mm fan spins at the top of the case. The Khaos chassis can also accommodate two bottom mounted power supplies. 5.25-inch bays for optical drives and other temp/LCD gadgets are 11 in number. What is more, Khaos comes standard with mounted rubber finished wheels, a handle mounted at the back for comfort during movement and removable motherboard tray. The chassis will be available later this month.

It doesn't seem all that special, especially for $400.

At first I was like :D then I saw the price.. I would pay 200$ at the most for it.. It looks really awesome but 400$? No thanks, I would rather have a high end video card or Quad core.

Even if NZXT sold this case for $100, i wouldn't do it. Why? I bet its built cheaply. Everything i've seen from NZXT either falls apart or breaks over a short period of time.

Khaos features breakthrough design in every category effectively satisfying the needs of the most power hungry PC Enthusiasts and Gamers.
Unparalleled Design: Following the success of the Lexa Chassis, NZXT took on the major feat of designing an ultra-premium chassis achieving "perfect symmetry" with matching curves and mirrored design
Three channel cooling: Features two 120 mm fans for intake over 8 HDDs along with the first-ever three 120mm fan bracket is placed exactly before the video card and motherboards to ensure steady airflow
Dual Power Supply Support: Designed for the power hungry PC enthusiast with future component upgrades in mind, the Khaos offers support for two power supplies. The user can split power usage between major components like the video cards and CPU with other components such as the hard drive, motherboard and floppy. NZXT even includes a specialized cable that will help start up the second PSU
Thick Aluminum Build: Following the success of the NZXT Adamas, Khaos is built with high quality craftsmanship infused throughout the chassis and comprised completely of durable 2mm and 3mm thick aluminum
Maximized Expandability: Khaos features 11 5.25" bays providing a large array of space for drives such as CD ROMS, Temperature Displays, and multi-format readers

It's overpriced but still a very good case.

Can someone please tell me why a gamer wants/needs a case that big? As long as it can fit a crossfire/sli setup and hold maybe four hdds (max) and an ODD then surely thats good enough. Especially if the said gamer wants to go to LAN parties... How many geeks have you seen built like brick shithouses? Adequate ventillation sure, but my new midi tower Antec Three Hundred has space for two front 120mm intake and comes with a rear 120mm exhaust and a 140mm blowhole, plus a spot on the side to aim at the cards if needed. Cost me £41 or in US $82 (though you wouldn't pay that much as we have 17.5% Value Added Tax...)

And the fans aren't even included for the price.. sheesh!
That was the second thing I thought, the first was "nice those three fans in the middle". Then the "meh for $400 I'm not even getting them"-thought came.

Exactly what I was thinking. I think THIS CASE (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811112174) is worth the hefty price tag... mainly because I'm a AMD lover. Whenever NewEgg decides to clear those out at some huge discount, I will have my card on hand and my other hand will be clicking add to cart. :)

I'm sure the price would be under 400 when it comes out,, I also see allot of mods that can be done to it,, If I had the cash I would buy it, I'm also sure others would buy it, just to say they have it. just like any other over priced hardware.
