Hd 3870 x2 or a Gtx 9800 1gb

Which card would be the better to get as they are about the same price ?

An Ati Hd 3870 x2 1gb or a Nvidia Gtx 9800 1gb ?

I dont have ant preference betwwn the 2 companys as i am not a fanboy just looking for the best option.

Yeah, wait. $300-$400 could get you a brand new Radeon 4870 or GTX 260 in a week.
But if you're so inclined to buy a card right now, the Radeon 3870X2 would be a better choice because it is faster compared to the 9800GTX.

I would get this card 284.00 3870x2 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121247 after a rebate the dual should be about as powerful as the 4870 and be slightly cheaper I'm betting. However it will need more power, but we will see. The 4870 is gonna be fast but I don't think it will beat a 3870x2 hands down ( it might beat it) and I bet it costs over 300.00. Plus from what I read they maybe be hard to come bye.
