We know that NVIDIA and ATI are in the next week and the next will be next week, were released the next generation of its flagship product, the relevant performance is already leaking Man Tianfei, and we recently received from overseas channels within a NVIDIA performance comparison table, We might as well take a look at:

Hardware platforms: Intel Q6600 + NF680i + 2GB DDR2 800 Memory

Software platform: Microsoft Windows Vista 64-bit SP1 Software Platform: Microsoft Windows Vista 64-bit SP1

This is new to the old GTX series of three cards of a group of data, that even the lower standard of GTX260, than the dual-core RadeonHD3870x2 (R680) to be strong, and the outcome Geforce9800GX2 each other.

Another is a group of ATI new HD485 0, HD4870 relevant results contrast, is the same as a comparison of the old three products: Geforce9800GTX, RadeonHD3870x2 (R680) and Geforce9800GX2, results from a visible red.
NVIDIA's from the internal documents can provide two information: NVIDIA new GTX260/GTX280 widespread than in the past the dual-core high-end products also strong; ATI new HD4850/4870 even less than the last single-core products. Of course, this is only a unilateral report card, only for the initial reference, a detailed comparison of the fairness of the test, or take two weeks of waiting ...

GTX 280 drops to $499
GTX 260 to $399

Nvidia was planning to launch the Geforce GTX 280 at $599 and the GTX 260 at $449, but now it looks like both cards will end up cheaper than it was originally planned.

The reason for this is simple, ATI will price its cards aggressively. The new suggested retail price might drop as low as $499 for the GTX 280 and $399 for the GTX 260. We were advised that some of these prices, especially the GTX 260 might go down further within a weeks after the launch.

ATI's Radeon HD 4870 will again be cheaper than the GTX 260 and our sources believe that it can give it a run for its money. We will see about that, but at least the HD 4870 will end up cheaper to begin with.

Oh dear. I thought the differences in performances would be FAR less than that.

Oh dear. I thought the differences in performances would be FAR less than that.

I'll answer that with this:

Of course, this is only a unilateral report card, only for the initial reference, a detailed comparison of the fairness of the test, or take two weeks of waiting ...

Until the products hit the streets and real users submit results, i'll take this with a truck of salt ...

Complete BULLSHARKS

#1. My Q6600 with AGP HD3850 does 3Dmark06 of 11663. I just DONT BELIEVE that a 4870 is no faster than my AGP HD3850. Neither should you.

#2. No such game "Lost of Planet".

I just think, that if I beleive EVERYTHING I have seen and heard about both NVidia's and ATI's fortcoming offerings/speculation either will fly me to Mars, land me at the "BeachBabes picnic site", allow me to have my wicked way with all 15 of them and get me back home before breakfast.........some of which sadly, is probably too good to be true :D

lemonadesoda seams to have proven this is fake which is why i change my previous post to:

Until the products hit the streets and real users submit results, i'll take this with a cargo ship of salt ...

I was already doubtful but i posted it anyway since i wanted to share what i had found.

my 2900xt at default get 12k in 06 with a stock rig. I don't think the 4870 is going to be slower than my 2900xt lol.

Unfortunately, you'll going to need some help with the 3rd one so I'll gladly join you - while the wifey isn't looking :D

This crap just goes to show you how NV caught on to just how much of a wicked beast the R700 will be & I applaud them for that. Atleast they got their brains out of their asses b4 they're were handed by the red bloody monster. But the chip & mem comes out to about $50 less than the $499 that they're gonna charge for the thing so I'll believe that BS when I see it :shadedshu

BTW: Those charts don't make any GD sense at all unless the PC's were full of viruses or something. All the results are too low even for a stock Q6600

I agree Megasty. However, I think the GT260/280 and the R700 (hd4850/hd4870) should score damn significantly better.

it is fake. ATI has 800 shaders
on picture u can se old infos abaut 480 shaders.
so the persone who made it is not a huge fan of ati and doesn t read a news :)

nobody is sure about the shaders yet, nothing concrete has come out. 800 vs 480. it's a big gap and could mean the difference between a winning card and a losing one.

Can someone explain to my, how to get <13k in 3dmark06 with a q6600 and a HD3870X2?

My P4D gets more than 10k with one 3870 only. Q6600 should at least get 2K higher than my P4D even at stock clocks. Would you believe that 3870X2 is just 8% faster than 3870 in 3dmark06? I wouldn't.

EDIT: bad misspelling...
