I am guessing this is part of the 4800 release, not sure though.


Edit: I do not belive this is a website from ATI/AMD as the domain isn't from them.

If it is ATI (or a guy posting for ATI), they must be really confident in these cards... or it could just be a dreaded fanboy hyping a product that isn't out yet. Either way these new cards definitely have my interest and possibly a sum of money from my wallet.

1 week of 100% education and I'm already rusting.

Yeah, if that 1+ TFLOP figure is hinting at the shaders, then we have an incredibly powerful GPU, game optimisations are the only things left.

About this website, it's most likely from a board partner or so.

Teraflop isn't a direct indicator of how well it does in games. But it will be an almost direct indicator for the GPU-Folding people for sure. Thats a good reason to get it but I wonder what the launch prices will be like.

If a HD4870 is 80% as fast as a GTX 260 and is priced ~$350, it still makes for a good buy.
