get a 6800XT/GT. best would be a X1650 pro AGP. You might as well buy a 1GB stick istead.

Make sure your PSU can handle.

you can find an x850 (which is better than 6800/7300 + 1650) model card prolly pretty cheap these days as well as a stick of RAM

x850 isn't a bad card... But a 6800GT/Ultra will eat it for lunch...

As for agp, you may even be able to find a x1950gt or x1950pro for under $100, which would be insane for that rig...

that would be a better find but prolly harder to get cuz people still want to hang on to them

x850 isn't a bad card, but the 6800Ultra will beat it out in newer games, especially at low resolution. The 6800 is a generation newer also so its not really such a fair comparison.

OK your link says that a 6800 is better than an x800, i was speaking of an x850; specifically an x850xt or xt pe which will beat a 6800 ;)

please rad the posts a little better before replying to them, and if i'm wrong please show me :)

My mistake there...

But then again according to this they are some win some lose-
http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Sapphire/Radeonx850xtpeagp/1.html

On the other hand you can probably get an x850xt PE for cheaper than you can get a used 6800Ultra, they STILL sell for around $80-$100 on ebay sadly enough.

the battle between the AGP x850 + 6800 was pretty close on most front's but the ATi IS a better all around card.

trust me ;) i used mine for 4yrs :D and still have it in the box as a backup :)

And finally if your CPU is the Barton core, OC it to the 3200+. That should defib your computer for a short time...
