Thought I'd start a new thread for EMO comments and suggestions to hopefully clear up the original thread that W1zzard started. The thread had been getting dangerously close to GN type posts anyway.

Please feel free to use this thread to outpour your disdain and unhappiness with this Forum in-lieu of the other thread. By doing so the original thread can be used for it's intended purpose and moderators can get back to their other important tasks, and the rest of us can get on with trying to help people and maybe even learn something along the way. Thanks!

I had long hair at one time Gilby Clarks(GNR) younger brother Jamie and I had a band as kids. Thats was prior to my cop days. I also had long hair in the 70's as a kid during the Sgt Pepper Era. LOL My friends would have killed that EMO thing on sight.

I had some uber long hair back in HS - pulled back towards the top of my head, came down below the middle of my back - the sides and all were shaved . . . was stoutin that style before it became the "in" style amoungst metal heads.

but after being diagnosed with cancer, I shave it all off - kept it short ever since. On occassion I'll grow it out a bit, and get that mobster look going on, but then I cut it back down.

Besides, it's a lot cooler when you're dealing with 97F+ heat during the summer with 90% humidity.

When I was in my teenage years (that was a long time ago) my hair was long enough that I could tuck it into my pants with my shirt tails.

Like I said, that was a long time ago. ;)
Now I am more relalistic and have my wife clip it really short so after working in the woods I can easily get the ticks out.

I think I might have been the first person in the Chicago Area to sport a Mullet. Back then no one knew what the hell that was. My Girlfirend wanted me to go to her hairdresser since I had not cut my hair for 5 years or something. For whatever reason (heriditary baldness?) only the sides and back of my 'do would get really long...and my front hairs would always stop growing at nose length...Man I would have given anything for true Rock Star Hair that gave me the Cousin It look...but since I am apparently genetically a RedNeck I asked the stylist to make it normal looking from the front and really obnoxiously long in the back.

You have to realize that in 1975 most people had Jock-style haircuts (except the Guidos lol)...no men wore their hair long except Hippies...

I really enjoyed pissing people off with my hair :D The Hippies didn't like it and the Jocks didn't like it and the Guidos Fing hated it.

Now that I am an old fart I just keep it about 1/8" long...no one cares about that crap anyway lol.

Back to hair. Add another long-hair with a goatee here. Goes about 3/4 of the way down my back. I keep the goatee relatively short tho. I don't like taking the chance of knockin my rails on the floor. Trying desperately to get powder out of a carpet is not my idea of fun. lol.

Why do you need to fire bullets at them? Razor-blades are much cheaper than bullets. A boxful of blades on a table, a concert-level audio setup playing uber-emo violin music, watch them all fall like nine-pins.

nayhow, back to the current topic - I had a friend years ago (last I talked with him was around 01), that by todays standards most would consider him emo by the way he dressed - although he didn't act "emo" - he modeled his style after Robert Smith, though, which back then was different and not the "cool" thing to do.

Dude was nutz, though - we came up with some insane ideas. We had this idea at one point to make a short film, all in black & white . . . we wanted to rent a grocery store for the shoot, and find an old lady that would be pushing around a shopping cart. The only thing you'd hear for audio would by classical/symphony music playing; then we'd have a handful of chimps that we had gotten all coked up, and one gorilla for good measure; and unleash them into the store - at that point, the film would go to some fast-paced techno (like old school Prodigy), and still frames of the apes jumping over the shelves, barreling down the aisles, and when they get to the old lady it would all be in stop motion . . . then back to balck & white with classical music panning slowly out of the store and chaos . . .

but, we figured there'd be too many legal issues involved, and we didn't have that kind of money to rent out some apes, or to buy any coke at the time, so we gave it up . . .

woulda been cool, though . . .
