any of you do lan parties in the southern Virginia or northern North Carolina area? I've never had the oportunity to go to a LAN party, but I would love to give it a shot.

livin in the SEVA region here - and this area is dead to the world for some reason. I haven't ever heard of a LAN party around here, sadly :(

I feel your pain. I live in the sticks. People here dont even know what LAN is let alone a freaking LAN party. I have to travel about 3.5 hrs to get to the one that even comes close. I tried to get one going here like six months ago, people were like whats a LAN party? Is it like a Tupperware party? Stupid back hills cousin humping rednecks :mad: Hell, I was going to spot all the equipment for the network all they had to bring was their rigs.
I can deal with allot of things, but ignorant uneducated people is not one of them.

No doubt, wanna see if we can get something going? I have 2-4 friends that would be interested. Currently we're playing COD4 and we play mechwarrior4(7 year old game, but still one of the best).We're ages 21 to 37.

might be worth it sometime, I've got a few friends around here who do a lot of gaming, but I can't ever get them out.

It's a shame this region is so dead, though :(
