Anyone have any good related stories.
One day i was driving down the highway in my Z-28 in the pouring rain. I see this rough looking biker type (fair bit bigger than me)holding his thumb out on the side of the road. i'm thinking that sucks, it's miserable out there, I'll give him a ride. I picked him up and continued on. He didn't say anything at first but after a few minutes he looked at me and said " What would you do if i pulled a knife right now?" Without missing a beat, I looked at him, smiled and said "'bout 180 and pole on your side." No emotion, just a pleasant smile. He turned white and the next word out of his mouth was thanks when I stopped to let him out.
It could have ended pourly but it didn't. Thinking back, his reaction makes me laugh everytime. i don't pick up hitchhikers anymore but it's illegal now so... this was back in the early 90's

Woah bro :twitch: That would not be cool at all. I've picked a few up though the years none like that though. Usualy drunk people that got stranded in places they know nothing about. I picked this guy up about a year or so ago a little skinny dude. He looked harmless he was maybe 100lbs soaking wet. Well it turns out when I stoped for the little dude there was 2 more guys in the ditch that I could not see at the time. Well when I opened the door to let him in the other 2 tried to get in also. Now I am a fairly large guy at 6'6" 275lbs so I can move people around fairly easily if I choose to. These guys get in the truck before I had a chance to say NO FUKIN WAY BITCHES! So I put the truck in park took the keys and exited the drivers door. I walked around and had to phisicaly remove these stinky sweaty nasty bums out of my truck. I was so pissed that the last one that I pulled out I actualy threw him down over the side of the road. What I didnt see is that there was a 20' or so ditch right there off the side. Well I ended up calling 911 for the poor guy. He was taken to the hospital with a ruptured spleen and broken nose (no I didnt hit him).

All of a sudden your name makes more sense blkhogan
I can picture that ... i would have reacted a little different i think. They'd a been begging me to stop and let them out.
Funny thing about taking shit from people, you never know what your gonna get until you've already got it. 20' is a good fall, wonder if that learned him.

If you are going to pick up a hiker, slow down, drive past a little distance, then stop. You've then got 15 seconds to reconsider before the hiker opens the door... plus plenty of time to see how they walk, what they are carrying, and if they are "with friends" or not.

I went on a road trip with my friends last summer and we stopped for this really tall guy on our way to Kansas City and he got in the back and we asked where he needed to go and he just gave us a blank stare.. So we asked again and he just got out..
