Ram question.

So I've noticed that the ram on video cards has different bits, 128, 256, 512, etc. I was wondering what the advantage of a higher bit ram does.

Higher bit = higher bandwith...
Think of it like this 64bit is like a 1 lane road
512bit is like a 6 lane highway

From what i understand that is what it is. Someone correct me if i am wrong
