For the know, 17th of June is the day Mozilla release Firefox 3. Most would be aware that they're attempting a Guinness World Record for the most number of downloads for a software in a day and hence set a date for the record attempt, June the 17th, 2008.
So those willing to help set this record should download Firefox 3 on this date, anywhere in the World, any time-zone, 17th June.

I'll be doing my part! Firefox FTW! And, if I forget, I know TPU probably will be doing a news report on it on that date!

If you ask me, this whole "download day" thing is really pointless..
you'd think thepiratebay would of already set that record :p

Depending on where you live, you can start downloading Firefox 3 at these times:
http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?month=6&day=17&year=2008&hour=10&min=0&sec=0&p1=224&sort=1
That's 10.00 AM (PDT) on 06/17/2008 to 10.00 AM (PDT) on 06/18/2008. PDT = Pacific Daylight Time, the time-zone California, USA falls in.

Pre-release is not what everyone's waiting here for, it's the final release that was supposed to have come out 30 minutes ago but Ceiling-Cat knows what happened.
So tell us Almighty Ceiling-Cat, what happened?
CC: Meow!
Not sure what that means. :(

oic ic
the one i have i got last week i believe it was "the final" version but idk. just tried to update but no go. also trying the website. seems to not be there :(
anyway mine says "version 3.0" so i figure this is it. its pretty slick imo. i like the way it looks and operates. nice "vista inspired" default buttons, looks good, uncluttered, operates well, and i like the new downloader thingy and the way it shows it scans downloads for viruses. couple of my extensions don't work....but that'll be updated, i'm sure
no crashes or bugs so far. been using it for a week
