I know next to nothing about HD technology so I'm sure this comes off as a stupid question (but hopefully someone can help.) What sort of features would I need in a new graphics card, to be able to play my PS3 through my desktop? The card would need to be PCI-E, right now I'm running an old GeForce6800 and am looking to upgrade it.

Play your PS3 through your desktop?
If by this you mean connecting your PS3 to your monitor, your PC has nothing to do with it.

If your monitor has multiple inputs you would just want to plug your PS3 into it using something like this.

HD is a load of bollox IMO. PC gamers have had "HD" for years. All it means is "higher resolution than the meagre 640x480 we consoles have been using for X decades"

But by playing through your desktop, I assume you mean via your monitor, in which case Shatrat is correct. If not, then I can only think you mean via emulator?
