hey guys, well I started up playing oblivion a couple of days ago only to run into this trouble. At first, w/ everything maxxed out and 4xAA, I could only play about 20 seconds before my monitor lost its signal with my videocard. After turning AA off, I was able to get outside the beginner dungeon and into the forest for about 2 minutes before my monitor lost signal again. After messing with Riva Tuner and jetting fan speed to 100% I was able to play w/ 2xaa for a little whilee, but turning AA to 4x, my monitor again lost signal after 3 minutes...on that last time when my monitor lost signal I also heard my video card's fan die down.
Now, thsi card has given me siimilar problems (not monitor disconection, but random bsod/crashing) in CoD4 but I think that was due to my ram's timings...but now my ram's timings are stable...running catalyst 8.5 and a relatively up to date BIOS from HIS tech support. should I go ahead and RMA this thing or is there something else I could do instead?
