We've just had a 2nd visit from our Acer rep at work today. He's freakin' sound, bought us pizza again, really sound guy. However, he wasn't evolved properly when the Acer geeks were coming up with their high-end consumer gaming rig...

Most of us here at TPU build our own and obviously have the enjoyment of doing that, but the target audience is more tailored towards the sort of gamers that'd rather have an, off the shelf product.

Now, the specification of the Acer might tickle some buds, but ASUS have recently announced their offering. If you think the Acer one looks gash, what until you see this...

Now, I'm all for Black & Red colour schemes but this chassis just looks ridiculous. Maybe that's the point, but seriously?

The Acer one looks like a really neat Asus Vento case... The door is very cool. Never though anyone would do a vertical opening one! Very neat.

I like the Acer case alot. I would consider buying the Acer one if I knew what cooling was in it. (if they sold the case separately, even better.

I must admit, I prefer the Acer one, the garish orange is horrible mind. If it was black then it'd appeal to me a bit more. I'm not especially surprised some of you lot like the design though. The Acer rep was pretty pissed they made most of it out of plastic I think. He made a decent point to them to not use so much next time.

How do you get into the case tho'? with it having them arms on the sides.

It looks like the orange part is just a shell, and the black "inner case" slides out and you work on that. Think of it kinda like the HP cases and their 2003-4 cases.

I just read it... Well i really don't wanna go water yet... but thats ok i guess if they ever sell that case. It looks good...

BTW cda, w1z got mad at me for have an avatar with pedobear on it, so you might wanna tread with caution...
