I am currently using a Dell motherboard in my system. I have neither the money or the time right now to dish out the case for a new mobo, and was wandering if it was possible to flash my Dell bios to something more flexable. Dell bios does not allow oc'ing as well as many other good tweaking applications. If so, how would I go about doing this?

I highly doubt theres and bioses out there to allow overclocking on Dell computers. Unless some person made one, but I don't even think the board have support for higher voltages and such? The only Dells that I know of that can overclock are the new XPS's. But to flash the bios, if Dell released any, you would probaly just have to use a program by Dell to do it, thats what it is like with most board manufactors.

Not a good Idea. I doubt you could find a modded BIOS for your board and you wouldn't want to flash it with one from another board. Motherboard BIOS' are not something you really want to play around with to much. If you flash it with a corrupted BIOS or the wrong one your toast unless your BIOS chip is removable, but I doubt that on a DELL.:shadedshu

dell motherboards are foxconn, but their mostly custom jobs, not straight out of the manufacturing line. you dont want to flash the bios of a ¨similar board¨
