On the FIRST day after launch, on-line retailers selling it at EUR 143.

I'm sure this will be sub-EUR 140 within a matter of days, as more sellers come online, and it will probably settle around EUR 130-135 by end of month.

FANTASIC prices. A real winner there.

Funny thing is...it's only EUR 10-25 more than the 3870. No reason to buy a 3870 anymore, not unless price sub EUR 100. http://geizhals.at/deutschland/?cat=gra16_512&asuch=3870

It's selling for as low as $169 in the US (http://forums.techpowerup.com/showthread.php?t=63426). Yes, this card is a winner. NVidia won't be able to chase it with a $199 meat-loaf of a 9800 GTX. Even at $199 it's worthless.

I guess the prices are up for profit, the initial price was discounted. ? What is the standard launch-price in EUR?

There is no standard price. Its basically a free for all where the retailors try and source their products for as cheap as possible and sell them for as much as possible. In reality it should be $200 + 17.5% VAT in the UK. But we dont have as many large retailors in the UK and so they charge a lot. We also, tend to get crap supply.

It's $220 + 8% VAT here. All partners (Sapphire, GeCube, VisionTek, HIS......) sell at the same price though you can always bargain with the retailer.
