Laptop screen flickering

Every time I open a video and play it using VLC player or Windows Media Player Classic my screen starts flickering :confused:. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how I could go about troubleshooting this issue... Here are the laptop specs:

Video: Nvidia Quadro NVS 140M 128MB
CPU: Intel C2D T7500 2.2 GHZ
RAM: 3 GB

Any assistance would be much appreciated.

So far I have uninstalled and reinstalled the current versions of drivers for the video with zero success.

Just an update:

I was thinking that it could be a refresh rate setting. It is current set at 60. (highest it goes). Is this a normal setting?

What format is the video file? And are you using codec's? If not, use this here (http://www.cccp-project.net/). If this helps, but doesn't solve the problem, it could be just you video card. If it's a HD file, your card can't play it anyway. To play HD you need atleast 256 on-board ram to play. And atleast 2gb of system ram. Hope this helps. Good luck :toast:
