View Full Version : any xfi xtreme music owners? comments

so i bought a xfi xtreme music (sweet deal £35 inc del.), and was wondering how many people have one of these and what are your views on the card, driver issues on vista, tweaks tips etc. will i be impressed with the sound quality over my xfi xtreme audio, i mainly wanted it for listening to music, but also gaming so how will it perform doing these 2 tasks?cheers guys. :toast:

i have the same, no issues with vista x64. sound quality is good , eax works in games . no problems at all .

what drivers are you using ?

I have it too great card has the same audio chip as the more expensive range the lack of onboard memory doesnt worry me i have 4 gig of ram to use up.

i though i read somewhere it has 32mb? mind you theres not much point in the x-ram anyway is there as not a lot of games support it

No. Xtreme Music and Xtreme Gamer use a 2MB bank.

is there no issues with eax or other features (cant recall specifically)being crippled in vista? what were the daniel_K drivers about ?

no, just use alchemy and the games work . daniel k drivers were mainly for the previous generation from creative.
