Hi folks,
ATM i'm sitting with an 8800gts 512 G92 which racks up ~15.5K in '06. I really like the looks of the new radeon cards and am in no hurry to pay £400 for the new Nvidia lineup lol
Will I see an improvement if I went for a 4850? as I could prob pick two of them up for the price of a single 4870(or nearly) I game at 1680X1050 atm, but if I could I would like to use the native 1920 X 1200, so what do you think, will the 4850 bounce all over the 8800, or will it be a marginal gain.
Cheers,
Gerry.

The 4850 is on par with the 9800GTX (a little faster i think, dont quote me on that!)
Two of these will scale well and allow you to push up the AA in all your games..plus they are pretty damn cheap so sell your 8800GTS while you can still get good money for it and buy a 4850! ...or two!

So I believe the 8800 is only slightly slower than the 9800gtx(or am I thinking of something else here ) so the 4850 won't be that much faster than the 8800gts then.
Hmm don't wanna pay through the nose for the 4870 on release, as I done with the 3870 and regretted it as the gts g92 stomped all over it lol. :ohwell: guess i'll stick with the gts for the moment
Eastcost, you got 15K on '06, was that a hefty o/c on the gfx and cpu?

 ok may need to rethink lol, 15223 (http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=6383724) with CPU @4Gig and gfx at 830/ 1250. May end up picking one of these up after all lol.
