I am looking for an easy to use email server application for windows xp.

I have a little server running (on 24/7) and would like to get an email server of my own on it as it would help with what I do.

Just one thing with the application, I would like it to have webmail, as I do not really like to use outlook and other email apps.

And finally (the "newbie" question)...is setting up an email server as simple as going through a wizard, choosing a couple of options and then having an email service of my own? Or, is it a lot more complicated (for example, I would like to have: Pinchy@Pinchyscomputers.com)

Thx in adv :)

There is a server edition of Thunderbird?

I'd say Kerio.

you need to register your domain, setup an mx dns record to point to your (fixed) ip of the mail server, setup the mail server.

Technically the MX record isn't required. Though it's a good idea to use it.

Thanks for the pointer to Kerio. Looks good.

Are there any other suggestions for email servers, either like Kerio but cheaper, or perhaps not as comprehensive, but free.

Like pinchy, I'd like to set up a basic mailserver that can also provide webmail services (and NOT look like some clumsy 1980's html rubbish) for about 10 users.
