I just bought an x1800xt 256mb from someone (Believe it or not, my first non-PCI card, and second card altogether lol) and I was going to use my Molex - PCIe adapter that came with a PSU I bought. Here's my problem...

It only has 5 pins. 2 wires are connecting to the same pin, and the other 4 only have 1 wire. I was thinking this is highly dangerous to my card's health. Should I just order one or is this fine? I'm afraid this will short..

Thanks.

I think it should be fine,i think its the earth wires (black) that double up.

it's a molex, it would be more dangerous if you started to chew on it.

Pin #4 can blank with PCI-E power, it can be shared with pin #3.
