Even though the Dual Core CPUs are just slowly starting to make their way into PCs for the masses with DELL, and various Supermarkets like Aldi/Hofer in Europe(comparable to Walmart in the US) offering PC for under 1000€s (incl. Taxes), AMD will be releasing Quad Core CPUs in 2007 with a number of improvements like L3 cache, an improved memory technology, presumable Fully Buffered DIMM (FBDIMM), and HyperTransport 3.0 that will include support for fault tolerant I/O.
Makes me ponder if I should wait on buying myself a dual core CPU with DDR2 next year.
