Question about SLI

I know this was probably already answered but i have to make a quick decision so i don't have time to search and i had to post this again! I would like to know what happens if you put a 640MB card and a 320MB card in SLI? Does the card with 640MB ram use all of it or yust half?

just half. the cards have to match up on ram.

Because SLI cant share ram, you end up with only 320MB of ram total - you'd gain GPU performance, but at a loss of memory for high resolution gaming.

Yup, i kinda thought so myselfe, but i had to get a confirmation. Never the less, i got a great deal on a 8800GTS 640MB for 60€ so i am buying it anyway:) Thanks for the quick reply!!!

sure no probs. you may need to use the 640MB as the primary card, i'm not really sure how it would work.
