Have: Dell 2208WFP Ultrasharp

Need: 22" or 24" of higher quality that won't break the bank.

No need to recommend the Samsung 245BW or 226BW, had them and wasn't impressed.
I know the Dell is already one of the better 22 inchers but I have the opportunity to upgrade right now.

Thanks guys, I know there's at least a couple of you here that really know your monitors ;)

Acer does make good screens. I have a Acer X241W, and it is pristine. :D

I heard Sceptre screens are good as well. (Do not own one, mainly reviews), such as this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824112011

thanks for the input guys but I'm pretty sure any of those would be a downgrade from the Dell :(

I have to tell you, you have very good taste! The Dell Ultra sharp is quite impressive and has a decent price tag for what you get. See HERE (http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/products/Displays/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=320-6107). Also, don't know if you're a student or not, but Dell typically gives a 12-15% discount to students.

thanks, and yep that's the one I have, and I believe I got 15% off when I purchased, if not 20% because I have a business account with them

:banghead: I knew that! :banghead: I just re-read your post lol! IMO, you've got a beauty! What do you consider "breaking the bank". (What range?) Have you considered simply moving up to the 24" Dell Ultra? <Here> (http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/products/Monitors/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=320-6272) Hard to beat that product line dollar for dollar for what you get, and it's proven. Now, if you've got a couple of grand, the Digital tiger is sweet!:)

If you're looking for size and very nice specs check this (http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Acer-P-Series-P241WBD-24-LCD-Monitor-P241WBD/sem/rpsm/oid/193737/catOid/-12965/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do#prodspecs) out.

Nice price……

I'm no where near as knowledgable with monitors as I am with other hardware, but I'm currently using a Soyo Topax S 24' wide screen and have been since christmas.I love this thing. Beautiful picture, 1920*1600 native resolution, response time could be better(I havent had any problem with that though) and very resonably priced.
