Nice, I will download and I might try later...I'm still pretty content with the performance and stability of the 177.39 beta's it's gonna be tough for me to move on until I see a lot of others praising the next good drivers! :D

The drivers are better than the 177.41's in 3D06 giving me a 110+ point boost in the overall score. Gonna try some games tonight.

they gave me a boost of +300 in vantage (to 9958 GPU!!) with the GTX260, and +300 in 3dm06 ~ no issues/artifacts in games so far.

Yep, seems to give a good boost in 3dmark06, and COD4. Massive increase in performance on F@H GPU2 client.

I have noticed a very subtle stuttering intermittently on COD4 though. Hopefully this will be cured when they have it ready for final release.

Edit: stuttering prob was xfire. Drivers = great!

Hmm..when trying to install I get the The NV Setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatable with your current hardware. Setup will now exit.

I'm gonna redownload the Vista x64 and see what happens...I haven't uninstalled the 177.39's, just-in case this happened tho..I may uninstall them and see if it'll take afterwards, but it should install none-the-less...

EDIT: N/M, I redownloaded and it worked okay! :toast: I'll report back later! The ones I thought were .66's turned out be to .26's LOL!

I just downloaded and installed Riva 2.09, works like normal with 177.66 and my 9600GT. I'm actually gonna de-vMod my 9600GT here shortly for duty in my G/F's rig. I could leave it modded, but she'll be annoyed by the increased fan speed (it's somewhat audible at 60% and very audible at 100%...). But this card can still hit 810/1950 GPU and 1100 Mem on stock voltage, and 50% fan speed will keep it pretty quiet and very cool. At 50% fan speed right now, vmodded at stock clocks (700/1750 and 1000) it'll hit 65C, which isn't bad, but 50% on stock volts it'll barely touch 47C iirc.

Hmm I just downloaded and installed Riva 209 in my Vista x64...it asked near the end of the install for checking for updates I said yes. I don't use UAC tho, but it did detect my reg for the older version and converted them over to 209 or whatever, took a couple of minutes, but was pretty painless overall. Dunno why they won't work for you...do you get any specific errors?

Maybe restart, F8 during boot to allow unsigned drivers? Do you have UAC enabled (not saying it's bad to have, but could be part of the cause...)? I have yet to see that issue...maybe redownload 2.09 from Guru3D and try that? I'll see what I can find...I'm getting ready to undo the vmod on the 9600GT so it may be a little bit before I return.

Hmm...well my undone vmod is a success, the card won't go over 48C at 50% Fan, 800/1925GPU..dropped about 100PPD in FAH...I saw NO GAINS from 177.66's for FAH yet, and I haven't games on it yet...but I'm sure it's fine.

My rivatuner is still working like a charm for me...

I was using Rivatuner 2.08 up to 177.39 beta modded drivers w/o issues, I didn't try .41's due to issues and riva compatability, when I made the jump to 177.66 Riva would load but it wouldn't detect anything, so I downloaded and installed 2.09, let it convert all the registries and settings over which it did quickly and easily, I'm issue free...I wonder what the difference is that's causing yours not to work...maybe run as administrator?

Restart and F8 during WIndows Boot, select the one that Disables Driver Signing, install both programs and try again...it's odd I don't have those issues. I wonder what I did differently...maybe there's a way to disable driver signing more permanently? I dunno, all I did was click allow install unsigned driver. I don't run as admin or in any kind of compatability mode...

Hmm..that's odd for sure, I woudln't think that'd necessarily have an affect like that lol!

Hmm..well did you try the F8, Allow Unsinged Drivers/Disable Unsigned Driver dealy yet? :confused:

If you still have issues there, I'd completely re-install both programs...which I'm sure you've done...still tho this is odd. No other issues, crashes, bsod's?

So where you'd normally OC is blank or can you even select your card? You may just wanna go back to older drivers for now...wait for the next beta release maybe?

I did the f8 a while back. Sneeky told me to do it... but I got cought up with watching a movie... so just tried it all and i get riva to install with no problems, but i got no ocing ability.. Just the changing of the screen...

Hi, that happened to me before, Riva only detected the card and drivers but no oc'ing options to avail, it stated on clocks the "N/A", but I could change fan speeds. Although I'm using a very old card 7600, I fixed that problem by removing the drivers and cleaning it via erocker's method. Then prevented vista from installing the generic driver, and manually installed 177.66's and rebooted.. Finally got rivatuner to read clocks of mem and gpu... And was able to oc. Hope this helped.

playing with the official ones. I tried the hacked to just try them, but deleted and cleaned it. Wasn't going hacked with my back-up card.

If you are still having trouble with RT 2.09, bring up a run box (WindowKey+R), and run Rivatuner with the /build switch. For example the command on my install would be:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\RivaTuner v2.09\RivaTuner.exe" /build

With the quotes, btw.

This is day 3 running these drivers. Haven't tried 3dmark yet, but crysis fps is up 4-6. Fur bench is way up especially at higher res. But I've had 2 random reboots after shutting down crysis, and 1 reboot after video encoding for about 45 minutes. But system does seem faster. I will keep testing and post back.

I think IQ went up for me w/ these drivers. I can't tell if perhaps it's just one of those placebo things, but I never thought that before, these just seem to give a sharper and more vibrant image. Vantage runs much smoother now too. I get virtually no stutter now.

my 3dmark05 score went down using these drivers. before it was 13k something now its 12k something. I was using 175.19 whql for the geforce 8 series

Well I played for about 15 min and didn't have any problems. Maybe I'll delve back in tomorrow and see if I have some trouble. Your sure it's not a cpu or ram related issue? If it happens when closing the game that doesn't seem like graphics problem to me.

I've been stable for months now with ram and cpu overclock. Just started with these new drivers. Although its only happened twice and I've played crysis probably 5 or 6 times. Maybe just a conflict with vista64. Who knows.:rolleyes:

Well, haven't had reboot in awhile. A good thing I've noticed, crysis actually starts in full screen now. I thought that was a windows 64/crysis bug.
