All we got was laptop... if you tell us the brand, and so forth then we maybe able to help out. But with a run on sentence like that... without anything else. I don't think anyone can help out.

Well, without telling us nothing more then a run on like that. How can one help?
By just even typing the "m9700" that you stated, it shows more then just the alien notebook in question... It shows the laptop yes, but also a Madison Liquid Level Switch M9700

That wasn't to put you down, or anything else, but to let you know in future question asking. A one sentence post on a tech question, won't really make anyone that knows what going on how to help..

From what I can read from your first post, it might be the video cards are gone on the system. But, that is all I know of it being since the hard drive runs, and everything else. Even the CD drive runs.. hmmm. Theonetruewill does a lot with laptops.. I'd throw him a pm with the question.

not to put you down but a liquid level switch has nothing to do with the topic one would have to be partially brain dead to think so, how ever thanks for the advice ill look into it

I know it doesn't have anything to do with it.. I was just pointing out that when you type in the manufacturing number of the laptop it gives you more then just the laptop...

Do, you still have a warr on the laptop still? hmmm....

unfortunatley no, the warranty expired about a year ago

Well, you probably will be able to update the video cards.. Since, it isn't under any warr.. I would open it up, and take a air duster to it.. might be just needing a good clean clean... Then check everything out and you'll see if its the video cards or maybe something else... Could be the threading on the LCD is bad...

im not ruling anything out yet but i dont believe it is the lcd, all the lights stay on no matter what, which is whats wierd, i can hold the power button down and they still stay on untill the battery dies, you can hear the hd begin to spin then just stops

Huh, you mean the HDD stops immediately after you turn on the system? Or the system doesnt turn off even though you held the button for more than four seconds...?

well the lights are on the system, the power light is orange, as if it were stuck in standby, if i hold the button it does nothing, all the lights stay on etc... you can hear the HD begin to spin but after a second or so it stops
