Try clearing all your drivers out first, then load windows with the XT bios.

wew thnx dan ;) ill do that.
Solaris17 read that: http://www.rojakpot.com/default.aspx?location=3&var1=92&var2=0 and tell us which exactly model 9800PRO you have. Doing that will allow me to help you with proper 9800XT BIOS which will work fine with your card. But before all you have to be sure that your card is with R360 core (visual inspection). It is also important that it is 256-bits. The memory type is also important but not so.
I still have 9800PRO (with XT PCB) modded to 9800XT 128MB (with my own custom BIOS) with all the extras: Overdrive (temperature monitoring), fan control - additionaly installed. I also have 9800XT 128MB BIOS collection which can be useful for you.

You screen goes black because of too high OC. Edit your new bios using Rabit and set lower core and mem. Flash it again and everything gonna be allright :)
Petra01 is right. Before to flash you should test it for max. core and memory speed and just after to decide what exactly clocks to set in RaBit ;) .

k people sucessfully flashed to an xt using a g-cube bios now i have problems though 23 to be prwecise ......i added as5 i had mounted my own hsf for my cpu i was certain i could do it this time....i dk im getting major artifacting @ the clocks below and im even getting artifacting at the default clocks....378 core 357mem...i need serious help the hs burns my finger...:twitch: i have no idea if it would have before because i never touched it before i modded it...could it be because of the flash?...im sure i added enough as5 and ive re done the whole thing like 4 times now and their are still artifacts...HELP!!!
well my scores in 3d mark 05 whent up by 10pts.... @$#%??? my 03 score whent up about 100 and my aqua mark score whent DOWN ~ 100 ....?..Help?
ok well i was just sittin and chilling out when a thought came to me ...i should make ramsinks....so i downed my can of nestea that i was sipping and i heade downstairs...i rinsed out my can(we recycle) and procedded to the basement thats were we keep our cans and various basement stuff i go down their and grab a razor knife..i scratch my nose and push out the blade.....i then proceed to cut off the top of the can ofter this i dry off the inside and proceed to cut out 8 squares the sizer of my memory chips...ok done i head back upstaires and proceed to squirt out some as5 on my id card...i dap a little on the peices of can and look at my work then i pull out my card and stick them on my chips...i look at them critically and i wave the card up and down gentally yup they stick and no epoxy.....i place the card back in the comp and boot it up.....i wait about 5 min and woundering weather they work i put my finger to the now HOt chips ..o ya they work...END do they really work i have no idea but the aluminum is hot so its probably bleeding a little heat....yup and thats that.
Try that BIOS. It is real XT for 128MB (no Overdrive) even on XT PCB. But did you determined what exactly is your 9800PRO?
