Guys, I'm looking for a new hard drive from my dad's PC, because it seems to be corrupted. I have formatted the hard drive and reinstalled Windows. It worked fine for a week and started giving me problems again and I singled out the hard drive because it would get stuck when loading drivers for safe mode over and over again. I'm not willing to spend more than $60 and prefer something from Newegg, but I'll take all your suggestions in mind. Thanks ahead of time.

I was actually looking at that same hard drive but the one with the 16mb cache, does it really make a difference. I have one of the newer Samsung Spinpoints with a 32mb cache and its very fast, but out of my budget range for my dad's PC.

+1 For that Seagate, Ive got the 320GB Seagate Baracuda and it performs very well.

Good Luck :D

I doubt your dad would see a difference, I went from an 8mb to a F1 Spinpoint and I didnt see a difference.

Thanks guys, I think I'm gonna get the 7200.10, but I still haven't decided whether or not to spend the extra $5 and get the one with the 16mb cache.
