Hi
i'm a casual gamer and have just bought gigabyte 9550d card ( couldn't afford anything higher). i knew nothing abt oclocking before getting this card but have spent the last week doing google and scanning forums abt how 2 oclock.
the card came with v-tuner 2 software. default core/mem was 250/392.I read that these gigabyte cards return to orignal core and mem freq few mins after oclocking them. i increased (very very carefully) the core from 250 default to 318 and left mem to 392 default using v-tuner. played "fable-the lost chapters" on highest possible graphics..... worked fine and it didn't return to default!!!! good for me. my card differs frm the one shown on gigabyte website by only that its says "OVERCLOCKABLE" on the box of the card(let me know if i'm being stupid). does that make a difference???
Also when i installed ATitool the core and mem shown by v-tuner2 jumped to more that 1000 themselves (scared me a bit actually) so i unistalled ATitool. i wanna use this software to find out the max my card can go.Help me out pleeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaase!!!
One last thing...... is 250/392 normal default freq???? 'coz i read on many forums dat its 250/200 or thereabout!!!!!
