Hello first post really could use the help,

I bought a card this card actually http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814153028

the card was advertised as m-9600 AGP with 128mb RAM

When I got the card and installed it, installed the drivers and it says Mobility FireGL T2 so does the ATITool and regular Radeon drivers wont install.

I needed a 9600 or a 9600pro so I was wondering if it is posible to flash this card to 9600 or a 9600pro I know its kinda stupid because FireGL is a better card but for what I need it it has to be a 9600 or a 9600pro.

Any help would be appreciated. PLease and thank you in advance:) :)

the only thing i can think of is bios flashing, i'd check the techpowerup bios section for a compatible bios, even if not same brand, but you'll have to match up mem style ie: 2.0,1.6 or whatever comes on your card (obviously not these but you get the picture). Also find out as much info on your card as possible. It could be someone got the card before you and flashed it themselves, and then had problems and sent it back to whomever.I have seen articles discussing flashing ATI and Nvidia cards to their cad version counterparts to save some bucks.

well I took the heatsink off and looked at the chip and it does say firegl t2, I cant find the RAM on board could it be in the GPU it self ?

and is it safe to flash this card with a radeon bios ?

Thanks alot for the reply
