Ok so when my computer is just idleing I noticed it is still using 50%+ of the processor. So I go into task manager and look at the system idle process is using the most of the 50%. I mean on every pc I have ever worked on or look at always at I idle cpu usage is 1-5%. This is a newly built system and all the drivers are installed and everything. I was wondering if there was a way to pinpoint what part of the system idle process was doing this?
My system:
Gigabyte K8NS Pro
2800 AMD 64 Clawhammer
1gb of Corsair Value Select RAM
120gb Seagate Barracuda
GF4 Ti4200 128mb
Enermax 350w PSU

on p4 with ht my system idle process is using all cpu time not used by other processes .. so the sum of all entries adds up to 100%

System idle process should show "99" if your computer is idling. If it's only showing 50 then some other process is eating up your other 50, find it and sic your antivirus on it.

If the System Idle Process is showing anything other than "00"...you're not folding:ohwell:
