The Mission

Design a replacement logo for ATITool, the size is 122x88, there is no limit on bytes size.
This is not a hard limit, but it should be in that range, so the logo can fit the current application layout
It is advised to create a higher res version, so the logo could be used in other locations and for print
Preferred file format is Adobe Photoshop .PSD


Rules

There will be a public discussion of all entries.
The community will vote for a winner, W1zzard will pick one winner. One entry can win both votes.
W1zzard's winning logo will (most probably) be used as official ATITool logo in the future
You may submit (low-quality/downscaled) versions of your entries as reply to this thread, if you feel you have to protect your idea from the public, E-Mail (mailto:w1zzard@techpowerup.com) submissions are also accepted. All submissions will be posted for public review at the end of the contest
The winning submissions will become property of techPowerUp!
You may submit as many entries as you want

I rather like using photobucket, it keeps all the ideas I've produced together. How about I use the TPU image hoster when I update new ideas, and then provide a link to the gallery with all the old ones.

try to avoid using ati's copyrighted material :) i think being based on the ati logo is fine, but stuff like ruby might upset ati

These may be of interest to anyone making a design. They express the manner in which any design or logo produced by ATI may be used. These documents basically state that the use\alteration of any of ATI's designs\logo in a 3rd party design is forbidden without the permission of ATI.

In other words we need to limit our use to only the ATI logo, since W1zzard either has an agreement with ATI, or ATI just doesn't care since it is excellent advertising and promotion of their products. I'm sure they are aware of ATITool, and have not made a fuss about the current use of the ATI logo. If the use of ATI material gets out of hand however, they may not be as forgiving.

I use WindowBlinds (http://www.stardock.com/products/windowblinds/), it's a third party software, and the skin is called DogmaX. I didn't design the last two logos to match the skin though, I just like those colors :) . The background color I think would be whatever your ATITool was. The way I designed it the logo is all that it there and the background doesn't exist.

Try The Gimp (http://www.gimp.org/). It's an excellent free program and is nearly as powerfull as photoshop. It can also read the photoshop PSD file format.

This has only been going on for a couple of days and there are already so many different logos to choose from. I hate to say it, but when it comes time to vote it may be a good idea to limit the number of entries per person to two or three. We could still post as many as we want for comment and critiqe. Can you imagine trying to vote for your favorite out of over 100? Or maybe it won't be that big of a deal.... just a thought.

I had a idea of using a gear, but saw someone used it before me.
So i didn't use that idea.

U can bevel and emboss all u like...cause that doesn't make a good logo.
