I bought this PC at TigerDirect (now sold out) in early Oct. for $399 U.S.. I have used both bios revisions for MS7093, MSI's 3.80 and Emachines 4.0b. MSI's does give a few more options and this is the bios i currently use. No stablity or any other problems to report. I use MSI's utilities with no issues either. I have upgraded the back case fan from the 80mm to a 92mm MadDog fan (if you open the case you'll see the case is already set up for this!) and use Speedfan to adjust speed. Also added an expansion slot fan by same company, overall lowered case temp buy 6-8 degrees celsius. Added an Connect3d x800 GTO pci/e ($184.00)modded to 16p and overclocked to 580/560 with ATITool with no problems and have added copper ramsinks to back mem (used extras on southbridge) still on stock cooling 42 idle 81 load, with power adapter plugged in through the dvd/cdrom chain. I use mostly mounted images with virtual drives and haven't had problems running 24/7. I did try the new emachines bios revision 4.0b but this actually lowered my FSB HyperT speed from 1000 to 800. The old bios had the option for adjustement from 200 to 1ghz (stock was set at 800) but the newer bios actually took away the option so i went back to MSI's 3.80. Clockgen works great and stock cpu cooler keeps up fine, didn't even see any temp increase after going to 2.2ghz. If you use this i suggest increase to 2.1ghz then to 2.2ghz as i locked it up a couple times with a direct jump. Fan upgrades and ramsinks, copper, cost $26 bucks. I plan to add 1gb of ram 2x512 as it is dual channel, a 400w+ PSU (the case is ATX formfactor which makes this easy), an SATA drive,, and eventually a 3700+ cpu or better. Way down the road some version of ATI's x1800 series card. I also yanked out the modem. Plays Doom 3 at 1024/768 High quality, SW Battlfront 2 looks and sounds great. This should last me about as long as my Emonster 550 did, which still works (kids PC):pimp:
