Earlier this year Gigabyte released a hardrive running DRAM modules called the I-RAM.
Now as most of you know the access time on ram is by FAR superior to a regular HDD.
Even the Western Digital Raptor series (10 000RPM) SATA drives are left behind.
Now just recently a company called HyperOs Came out with its HyperDrive III.
The HyperDrive III equiped with 6 DIMM modules but on a side note the new version of the HyperDrive will host 8 meaning you will be able to run up to 16GB of memory.
HyperOs`s drive comes with a 7.2volt battery so you do not lose your data.
On the other hand the I-RAM can only hold 4 GB of unbuffered memory while the HyperDrive can only run ECC Registered RAM.
For the price tag the I-RAM will be sold for around 200$ and the HyperDrive III 700$ and that is without
the RAM modules...
This might seem expensive but for the real enthusiasts the price means nothing :p

Hmm, so in order to be a real enthusiast you have to be rich, or be a spoild child whose mommy buys everything. Or I suppose you could forgo food and college for a really nifty hard drive.
