I don't expect many replies on this thread because i'm giving way too much information on my system, but for anybody who 'does' give an opinion or wants to ask a question about system, I greatly appreciate your time :rockout: . I have the system pretty much setup except I haven't chosen any water blocks yet (so...yes i'm not really setup at all, but just bear with me) Here's the system: Using MCT-40 coolant and am making two separate loops with the tubing...starting with the 1st loop we have one MCP665 pump /w 1/2 tygon tubing that heads to a cpu block then to hard drive block, then out of my computer, into a freezer (-20 to -40c). Inside the freezer I would switch the tygon tubing to something with more heat conductivity as to allow for quicker heat transfer. This new tubing would pass through a tub...i'll call it tub #1 (tubs are filled with coolant). Besides coolant, the #1 tub would have loop #1's reservoir in it. So recap...freezer (w/ new tubing), to tub #1 (coolant in tub), to reservoir (in tub). Because my freezer is shaped like a chest (long horizontally, short vertically) I've added a 2nd tub just next to tub #1. Tubing will continue through tub #1 into tub #2 and then continue out of the freezer (once tubing is out of freezer I will switch back to tygon), then finally it will come back to MCP655 pump #1. Phew...got all that :wtf: . Now i'll talk about loop #2, which is separate from loop #1. It begins w/ MCP655 pump #2, tubing continues to my two video cards WB, then to RAM WB, then out of computer, (not through radiator) into freezer, (change to conductive tubing) through tub #1 then into tub#2, connects to reservoir #2 (which is in tub #2), then continues through tub #2, out of freezer, and finally back to MCP655 pump #2. Both loops should take the form of an O shape...sort of. Take your time to visualize the whole setup  . Ok that's all. The only thing I haven't talked about is what waterblocks i'll be using, cause I don't know, and what i'm going to do about insulation, cause nobody wants to hear about that. Any suggestions or questions about the system is most welcome. (or if you want to tell me i'm mental, that's fine too ;) ).

if you add more line breaks it would be easier to read ;)

the idea sounds nice .. try copper tubing for heat transfer and make sure it goes through a cold liquid .. just cold air wont help much.

is your freezer the primary heat transfer thingie? if yes then you might overload the freezer soon. those things are built to run a few minutes every hour .. not permanently .. also look into power consumption of this whole setup

Copper tubing sounds like a good idea. The tubes going in to the freezer go through those two tubs filled with coolant (-20c to -40c).

The freezer isn't the only cooling component, i'll also have a three fan radiator in case the freezer can't take the heat.

Unfortunately with all the hardware on this computer, plus the water cooling system, plus the freezer, plus a huge speaker system, plus possible overclocking, this computer's power consumption is going to be monsterous  . Good thing my parents don't know squat about computers, I still have one more year of tax free living with them  .

(or if you want to tell me i'm mental, that's fine too ;) ).

dude, you're definantly mental.
that "plan" of yours is like... going way way way *WAY* over the top...

WAAAAAAAY...... over the top....

Nice to know somebody thinks i'm crazy  , people on other forums have only givin me encouragement. Makes me feel like i'm being pushed into a potential Chernobyl like disaster. I'll keep replying till about 5:30 am Pacific time, then I have finals at 6:30 am.

All I can say is good luck Phoenix-R, I envy your setup hehe, I wish I was well aware and understandable with Water Cooling... Gonna buy a cheap m/b, cpu, w/c kit (possibly the TT BW series 2), gfx card, ram rig then build it and put it on a board which is concealed to an extent not fully, so that way I can get hands on experience with water cooling first before I slap a kit in mine.

I'm gonna go for a nice lovely 2.5L kit with DangerDen water blocks for my GPU and CPU combination hehe! Though I'm gonna be doing some reading and questioning when it comes to doing it because first of all; I don't know what water to use if any, how much of the coolant you use which you get with the kits, how to test it properly for leaks and such and what key parts to look at for leaks (more than likely the tubing connections though still need to check first :P) -- As you can gather I know squat to water cooling but it's in my blood to want to do it haha!

Anyhow, good luck and get back to us with some screenshots ;) -- Would love to see the setup of it all -- Compare it to the setup in my mind hehe!

I don't know how long it's gonna take to get the money for all the components I'm gonna buy, currently the total cost is in the area of $8500 :twitch: . Besides the insane price this 'is' the first time i've built my own computer. (wonder if peope think i'm insane now :D ) I'm doing research on the best parts and i'm going to be assisted by a veteran computer whiz Barry Synder, who will help with advice and putting together the actual system. If all goes well i'm considering presenting my computer to Maximum PC magazine...not because of bling factor (though it doesn't do bad in that area) but because of insane all around performance. If the worst happens...well I'll do my best to show you pics of all the horrifying details :rockout: .

@ Israar

The TT BW is a decent starter kit, I "had" one, it is really easy to put together, for what it's worth don't get it, shop around and build a custom setup, it will outperform the BW in every aspect. The rev 2 BW pump only cyckes 90l per hour, where as even a cheap pump will do 700lph.

Just my opinion though.

Gerry.

may i suggest using an iwaki pump.

just a thought..................:pimp:
