I have a Mach speed P4M800 motherboard that came with an Intel Celeron 2.93 processor. I bought Viking 256 K PC3200 x2 and an A Power 400 watt power supply. Maxtor 40 g. HD. On boot up, my system hangs. Sometimes it will attempt to boot from CD but sometimes doesn't make it that far. Cannot find anything wrong. Installed OS on new HD in another computer but can't get to it. Any ideas? Yes, I know is crappy mobo.

Yes. At least as far as I can tell. First time I've tried this.

Maybe you need to check the heatsink mounting, but I'm not familiar with normal operating temperature for Intel CPUs.
Also try slackening your RAM timings if they are too tight your system might be unstable even at 200MHz for RAM. I would use 3-3-3-8 to be safe (tCAS-tRCD-tRP-tRAS)

I also got the same combo from TigerDirect. It hasn't been very estable - system randomly hangs. Calling in for service today. Mach Speed has Life Time Warranty, whatever that means?
Try reseting the BIOS --> unplug the power cord, and either remove the battery for about half a minute or use the jumper (check the manual).

I finally got these working - I bought two of them. They work great and I have had no more problems at all. Gave them to the kids for Christmas and they are thrilled with them. The way I got mine to stop hanging was scraped the pad they put on the fan as a heatsink and applied some thermal paste, made sure the fan was seated well because it was hanging due to high temp.
