HMM guess "Somebody" didn't like a question "They" couldn't answer..so they just deleted it....crummy IMHO

From the front page:

Downtime!
We had an outage earlier today. One of the disk drives in the server failed.

The site is running on a reinstall with a backup from Thursday. Please post every issue you can find in the comments section of this post.

what was your question? I don't think w1zzard is that kind of guy.

I didn't think so either.... but I see all the other posts except mine..and yes I was aware of the server prob....and who said I was talking about W1zzard? But W1zzard did answer a question for me... but I was very perplexed at a deletion.... I'm hoping it was a read/write error on the part of the server. And possibly I had written that after the Thu. bkup, probably so. So I'm sure I am in error. My apologies if I am incorrect...

our policy is to delete only spam/inappropriate posts.

the only person who can "hard delete" posts on the forums is me .. everybody else can just soft-delete the posts, the original author will see those posts in the threads list with a comment why it was deleted.

to the poster it will look like this, without "manage"

All mods have a reason for deleting posts like bad subject title to many times or it is false
Info so do not blame the mods because they are here to keep the form clean and on topic and just doing there job right w1zzard

Sorry if you felt that your thread was deleted, but as W1zzard said, only crap posts get deleted. The only users that can delete threads are the mods, users that made the threads, and W1zzard. If we can't awnser a thread, it wont get deleted.

There is quite a few threads lost from the server crash, as I see a bunch missing as well.
